graphic design workshop, 2018
What are the intersections between graphic design and indigenous communication? what is the history of Anishinaabe systems of writing and design? This four-hour workshop examined the basic principles of design and began to explore what it means to be an indigenous graphic designer. Half lecture and half studio, I shared this workshop with local indigenous women as a way of introducing the above themes and applying them to their own lives and creative practices.
